Wide raer wheel replacement

I am looking to relace my rear wheel with a 4.5" - 5" wide rim, 17" or 18" diameter. I have the stock hub. Need to find an aluminum rim that will mate up with the hub without going to a custom shop and paying $300 for a new rim, plus spokes. I guess I will need new spokes anyway due to the extra lenght?

Anyone do this and have info, photos on success?

I have a 130/90B16 Harley tire on my 80 XS bike....stock rim. It barely clears the chain.
The tire measures 5" at it's widest point. Just thought I would mention it.
