will this throttle cable connect?

I just got done installing new carbs and the throttle cable doesn't seem to make sense with my throttle housing i already installed. Does any one know if I can make this work?

That appears to be a push/pull throttle housing. The cables thread into it. You especially need that on the "push" side. What type are your new carbs? I'm not familiar with any push/pull set-ups being used on the 650.

i got them a while ago from someone on here, I think they are Mikes Xs performance Keihin carb kit. The bike fired right up after install and sounded pretty healthy.
