Wiring new speedometer 1980 XS650

Hey,

I recently purchased a new speedometer from MikesXS and I can’t seem to figure out how to wire it. The old speedometer had three wires; black, blue, and white/green. The new one has only two; black and green. Can I wire it to the old female input using the original male input? If not, any idea what I should do? I emailed MikesXS and was told to consult a “trained professional.”
