WJL AKA Wrenchjohns Legacy 70 XS1 in gggGary's hands

I've also prepping my XS2 for the toddling adventure. Oil change, check valves etc. After last years trip I knew I had to do something about the seat. During the winter I put new foam in it. Much more better. Couple hours on it no problem, all day iffy. It still could use some help. Saw this on Amazon. $20 worth a try. It's an improvement, but not sure if it's an all day seat. Got another helper coming, should be here Wednesday. Also need to get busy and get the rear rim to shine.

BTW - I just grabbed a slightly used one of those cushions on Amazon.ca for $23 CDN (about $3.12 USD at the current rate of exchange) - so no need for me to be swipin' Greg's cushion on our upcoming ride to Poopy's.

hehehehehe...:D

Put on a hunnert miles taday, I's got work to do yet. Yeah these shocks suck, under sprung over damped, clunk, clunk. I looked at about 4 pairs of shocks I have, off and on other bikes don't think any of em will work.
Checked timing this morning, idle was good, way too much advance, and all at once, at about 3500 RPM retarded it so advanced timing was where it should be, but then had idle issues. killed three times trying to leave a light in traffic, NOT fun on a kick only bike. I think it might have mikes springs and worn advance bobs. Several solutions at hand will have to pick one and install. Pamco all in one with advance is leading in the polls. Luggage all sitting good and staying put. Couple other things to iron out but hey I got 4 days yet!

What's it called ? I might be interested

update;
Replaced advance assembly with a good used one, Cleaned lubed advance rod, light grease and DS2, replaced points with Tyronic unit, easy as pie. Had to make one dual bullet connector, done, kick once, run. Set and checked timing and advance. Atsa way it should work. ;) :thumbsup: Cobbled up a custom rear "grab" bar so the luggage sits level. Off to run up a few miles on it.

It's on the venture. put 200 miles on that yesterday, trust me pad's going on this. I changed seats found a stock seat with much better foam hope that helps too.
Thinking about a windshield....

Looks great Gary. How far is Poopys from your place?

So after installing the tytronic I got about 30 minutes of service then it started missing while running slowly through Devils Lake State Park, quickly got worse till I had one last pop then nothing, Roadside tank off, electric open for inspection, nothing obvious. I could get no spark either side. After bumming a ride home and picking the bike up with the Prius and trailer, working in the shop, lots of thrashing, parts swapping, spark coming and going. One side would run on the Tytronic in the shop but not the other, Confirmed tytronic wires were all fine so the senders apparently were not liking something. Had the Tytronic with the stock coils and no condensers.
Finally went back to points, and running good. (for points) Have to think on the best way forward overnight. Still have an all in one Pamco with e advance sitting here.
Yes @Mailman I feel like a shop monkey.

I had one of those walmart ATV seat pads....well it sucked..and was the most uncomfortable POS i ever tried to ride on...YMMV Hope you get the electrical gremlins sorted out in time....
