Wood bratstyle seat pan

Has anyone here ever made a seat using plywood to make the seat pan? I found some pics from someone who did and it looks pretty good. If I did it I was planning on just a flat bratstyle seat, a flat layer of foam, with a fairly simple cover.

i made one from plywood once. used bent corner braces to make an angle on it. it only took about 20 minutes since you can just staple gun the vinyl on.
