Damnnnnn that is sweet. Those pipes are killer. Love the baby blue/white/gold paint too. Really nice build man, can't wait to see it finished.

What's your texas award/plaque for?

The Texas award is 1st place at Boyd Speedway 1/4 mile flattrack race.
The Jemco pipes are ceramic coated.

No I ported the head and I had the local Yamaha shop cut and install the valves. Next time I will send it to Hoos and let them do the valves, it took to long locally (3 months ) As far as the cylinders got them done locally also and it only took a week. All of the above cost the same as Hoos racing charges.

What a start! Looking forward to the finish, will be following this bike closely.

I know this isn't a XS but my son inlaw built me this little flattracker for a pit bike when we go to the races. It's a restored rebilt Honda 80cc. Here are a few pictures and I'll post some more of the Yamaha as progress happens.

Cheers,
Bryan

Nice bike! - a question..?

After all the Suzuki inverted front ends I have seen installed on xs650's, I have yet to read about how the radial calipers have been fitted/spaced as well as disc/hub combos required...

Regards.

Very good question, I'm not sure, every thing I build doesn't require a front brake (flattrack bike) I bet they work well with the correct spacing. There are so many good builders that come to this forum Im sure some one here knows.
