This one is for an '80SG...partzilla says they are the same for yours.

'79 had a 120ph speedo... which really doesn't matter unless you're trying to stay period correct.

Actually, it would work.
I actually bought a whole cluster off eBay from an 80s model, same speedo .

It works , the miles actually tick which mine didn’t.
I mainly wanted that for tracking my mileage.
