I had mentioned in several posts that I had installed an XSCharge ignition on a rebuild/bobber project last year. It ran great for awhile until I inadvertently left the key on during the testing phase of my build, which subsequently fried the XSCharge ignition. The coil survived and still works good to this day. Had to revert back to the original TCI which is probably best any way. That aside, I'm curious as to whether anyone has identified the specific electronic components on this system that goes bad due to the above (ignition being left on too long), and whether it would be worth an effort to self-repair? Thought I'd ask the question first before I dove in and try to diagnose it. Don't really need the XSCharge, but when you spend that kind of money on an ignition no sense it just tossing it unless its cost prohibitive to fix. I am just curious as to whether these PAMCO knock-off's can be "easily" repaired.
