OK, dig this cats... Lookin' at my chopper project tonite and I can't help but notice that the steering stem nut (the top one on TOP of the top clamp) on my '72 looks like a HAWAII'N - C can sitting on my bike. It's the original stem nut, but on my bike in it's current configuration, you could mistake that nut for a human leg or even the nose of a Boeing 737. Will one of the newer XS steering stem (which are smaller and chrome) fit my '72 stem? When I measured with my caliper I got 24mm for the threads on the stem / nut, but even the caliper looked up at me and smirked when it got a gander at that steering stem nut! Anybody know? Swap?
