Good compression but it won’t turn over???
Not an old bike, but every once in a while I see something like this pop up. It’s a 2019 Triumph T-100, retro styled to look like a Bonney from the 60’s, but it’s 900cc, water cooled, and fuel injected, really just a great bike.
The guy that bought it, hadn’t owned a motorcycle in 40 years, he only rode it less than 300 miles and said he didn’t enjoy it as much as he remembered. So he’s selling it for $2200 less than the list price and that’s before all of the taxes and dealer prep, shipping charges etc. And he’s throwing in a top of the line helmet that must’ve cost him $800. Man it’s a hell of a deal, I wish I could pull it off.
79 XS $1300
These little Kawasaki 650’s are such great little bikes and you just never see them come up for sale. This one is clean as a whistle! And unmolested.
Can't yet tell what year standard this is. But at least I responded
Nice and complete.
You could have a matched set! Just pull a few more hours at work!
It looks like 12 active bidders in the fray. The professional bidders haven't showed up yet. No wonder your parts are so expensive, @GLJ.
These were originally supposed to be BSA's, but after their demise, became Triumph's. Engine canted forward like the Rocket 3.
This came up for sale today on the VFT site. For some reason this one really really trips my trigger! I`m only $12,999.00 away from this sitting in my collection.
That looks like a Rocket for sure.
It took me a moment , I was looking at it and thinking this does not compute! Would be interesting to ride, they were never short on power but were lousy handling.
Didn't sell. Stack that many Franklin's in front of me not sure what I would do.
Dang! I wander what his reserve was set at?
His wife told him to sell it. He didn’t want to sell it. Set reserve at very high price. Tells wifey, “ gosh dear my bike didn’t sell, but I tried”. Everybody’s Happy, ish.
This looks interesting.
Amazing how these sellers want you to believe they have done an extensive list of things to the bike.........longer the list it must be good............
Greased head bearings..........not changed..............that's worth $300 at least
Wheels bearings pulled and repacked........not new............that's worth $400 at least
NEW fork oill.......wow that;s a bonus right there, that's another $300.........and new bulbs in the gauges.............that's worth $200 at least
best one is they have pulled the timing chain, cleaned and lubed................. then adjusted it, twice.........There's $500
Kinda confused now because if some egoes to such detail to list all these so called incidentals as a list of things done??????? why hasn't the gaskets for the head removal to get at the timing chain been listed????? or even stating the motor has been removed.............
Why???? because its all shit...........the gauges are off a TX 500.....Speedo reads 120MPH and Rev-counter is 8.5 red line......Must have been hard to find a low mileage one in good nick........$500 added to price
At least the motor looks clean............lol
