Hidden local gem. Purchased in 77 from the small private Yamaha dealer I often visited for DT parts as a teen, And to just look over the Yamahas of course.

Usually the US has a factor 2 cheaper bikes .Not in this case it appears a factor 2 more expensive.
a 400 ... 2 stroke 2 cylinder that has been sitting I doubt it would get bids here.
I do know 2 strokes are fun and on the rise. but the price looks high..
The two strokes of the time was the Kawasaki 3 cylinders and a couple of years older
the 500 mostly
That seldom had the front wheel on the ground. But I suppose they are expensive today

We didn't get the LC's and only a year and half of the RZ so there are a lot fewer wing dingers to be had in the states now. That is not a bad price for a one owner bike. My R5 was owned by 4 of my friends before I bought it. Several had had bad crashes and large insurance settlements that got poured into the bike. It was crazy fast.
