Ok ok .....not a Yamaha. What can I say? I like Triumphs.
This was a cool little footnote in Triumph history. You rarely see one of these come up for sale. They stuffed a 500cc single carb twin in a BSA scrambler frame, which was light weight and a newer, better designed frame. It had an aluminum tank and a two into one low slung exhaust that was admittedly ugly, and most didn’t survive due to being smashed. But historically accurate, so it’s nice that it’s there. It was street legal and marketed as an enduro. Some guys put a dual carb setup from the Daytona and a better exhaust and went racing on this bike, and it reportedly did pretty well. This bike has some modifications, the original metal fenders look to have been replaced with plastic, but it’s largely unmolested.
