That is a GREAT bike and a very good price!
It looks to be in very good condition. I had that same motor in the XT500 enduro model and it has really good torque!

I have one... fun fun fun.... great back road ..best " Kenny Roberts " lean'n rider.... Major grin factor. Five thumbs up.

That is indeed a very nice blue bike. Someone looking for a clean stock xs650 works like that bike The price of $3200 is good. Its amazing how much these bikes are worth these days. Considering you can get a brand new bike for just a little more. However everyday that goes by these bikes go up in value. In the history of this earth they're is only roughly a 15 year span from ~1965- 1979 that is the most desirable years. For some reason the flat frame design makes it so much better. But mostly it's the high quality of metal parts used. Also the reliability. These bikes can be sitting in a garage for 30 years and squirt of starting fluid directly in the carbs and it will pop over. A little steel wool to the chrome and these shine right up.

1981 Yamaha Special XS 650 for sale. To my knowledge it was last driven around 2013. At that time, I returned it to my dad and got a new one. I don't know if he drove it, but now we are cleaning out storage. The gears slipped when I drove it. Sometimes would skip 2nd, sometimes slipped out of third. Otherwise, it was a great bike. Have the title for it.

Gary's on the case......another one for his herd.
