XS650 engine serial number

I need to find out what year this engine is. I'm looking at buying it, but it needs carbs. So I need the year to get the correct carbs. Thank you in advance and SEMPER FI!

Any carb set will fit any engine. Personally, I prefer the later linked sets, either BS38s or BS34s.

The engine I'm looking at buying for my project is a XS-1B '70 - '71
