Tank..................New.......Smaller, (than Standard tanks), 12 1/2 liter, Gas cap looks similar the the 76-79 Standard gas cap but does not swap.
Petcocks......Twin, Vacuum operated one to each carb
Side-covers.....Metal with Badge. New shape, same style of fitting as the Standard models, (74-79), slightly smaller top mounts. Does not interchange with standard frames. Can with some slight modification
Seat....... ........Side hinged, stepped seat with half chrome strip. Can interchange with Standard models with some modification to the latch mechanism.
Chrome passenger Grab-rail
Wheels...........Rear; 16" mag with disc brake..... Front; 19" mag with disc brake
Caliper/Brake Rotor.....Same as 77D..........US, Canada and European, US Custom, had a single front disk brake........Most other countries had twin front disk brake setup
.....MC... looks the same as 77D, MC mount is set at a different angle for new Handle bars........
Forks.........35mm..Adjustable preload caps and some change to the internals. Different to 77D.
Fenders........
......Rear; ....Shorter than standard guard, new Tail-light and Number plate light mounted with 4 bolts on rear of Guard..........will interchange with standard frames.
......Front; ...Same as the 77 and later Standards, no change
Fork ears/Headlight brackets...........Different style to standard models.........Silver Chrome, same from 78-83 except 82 has black chrome.

Chain tightening link
Tip; I might suggest that when you get the chain set right, if you have a drum brake on the rear, that when you tighten the axle nut you hold the brake pedal down. This expands the pads out to press evenly on the drum to center the drum around the pads. This will help the brake work better, both pads will hit the drum at the same time.
