  4. Nice read. The prices might be low the dealers were marking them up. Supply and demand. An 80 SG went for around 2800 down the road tax and tags.

    I bought my SK new in 1983. IIRC, it was $1795.

    I think a real G is worth a freakin' fortune. I've seen it listed but that's the first photo I've seen verifying it's existence.

    Thanks very cool ! I bought my first XS650 new in December 1972 a XS2 on sale for only $1,050 .

    I read most of what was there. I found it interesting how people who should know better say the things they say.
    In one write up rubber mounted engines was mentioned, never happened.
    Another was oil pressure light and how it blinked when the brake was applied. Never had a oil light. The blinking was probably from a loose brake light bulb.
    In one pic of the SE it shows a leading axle front fork. Never happened.
