XS650E or XS650SF for visual impact brat kit?

I have two XS that I can choose from to use. A 78'XS650E or a 79'XS650SF. the SF has a bend in the frame on the left side tube coming up the side near the regulator, I think this is normal. And the E does not have this bend. So, does this matter when installing the visual impact brat kit? I put pics up to show what Im talking about. The one with the tank is the SF and the one Id rather use

That bend shouldnt even matter since youd be cutting below that point anyway.
