CORRECTION: I was informed that this actually may be 1976 model forks, due to the configuration of the triple tree and the fork lowers, with caliper mounts on both left and right. [Apparently NOT from XS2 or early XS650] (34mm tubes) which I did not use for a heavyweight bobber I built. This includes a great front 19" spoked wheel (rim is stamped "Takasago 160AX19 2G 206", which I believe is from July 1972, based on date code information I can find. With a NEW Shinko SR712F Tire, inner tube and rim strip and drilled disc rotor (all mounted), triple tree, fork tubes and lowers cleaned and new seals, new fork oil. Also have a 140mph speedo in nice shape with new speedo cable, and new aftermarket caliper. Includes axle and speedo drive gear. Also a pair of custom heavy-duty handlebar risers, and fork gaiters. All parts clean, working, very nice shape but not quite perfect for a concours restoration. Looking to sell all or individually. Contact me to discuss prices and shipping, more pics,

Not a 72 triple tree. 72 did not have a pinch bolt on the top tree and used only 1 bolt on the bottom tree.

The fork legs are not 72. 72s did not have caliper mounts on the left fork leg. Also the calipers on yours mount behind the legs instead of in front. If they are 34mm tubes what you have is most likely off a 76.

Thanks for this input. I wasn't familiar enough with the different variations of the XS front ends, but was told that it was early XS disc model. I'll change the ad accordingly.

Need more pics altogether and of the other side showing the rotor set up. I concur with GLJ, what i don't see is a provision for another rotor on the other side of the hub, (73-84) which 76 had but 72 didn't. Rim is also early 70-73 type.

I'll post more pictures of the components. This does have bosses for mounting the rotors on both sides, to the rear. Pretty sure the rim is from 72, if the date-code key I found is correct. So probably a mixed bag of earlier and later parts, however, they all bolt together and work as intended.
