Nice job Very nice Good to see the 650 badge back on
I ride with a friend or 2 that have Harleys and I have yet to see someone say hey who's Red Harley is that
They always come to the 650 and ask about it
Weather should be warm enough in Kansas Jim to go for a hey check this bike out cruise

Hey, no footpeg, no speedo cable, no liscense plate, and your tires are low !
C'mon Bob , get this guy
.....and is it just me or does the rear brake caliper seem to be MIA? Beautiful looking bike, Jim!

You might consider utilizing that "extra" relay on the brown wire for the regulator. Pamcopete recommends this mod so the regulator is sensing the true voltage at the battery, not the voltage coming out of the harness after it's passed through who knows how many connections.

A Little Closer.....

Been puttin' it off.... finally pulled the carbs today so I could install the ball and spring for the choke shaft. What a pain those little buggers were... Choke now has full and intermediate detents.

After much ponderin'... decided to put the fuel filter under the left sidecover. It'll make for quick and easy replacement.

While the carbs were off I went ahead and pulled and lubed the clutch and throttle cables. Spent a stupid amount of time trying a gazillion different cable routings. Clutch pull now is excellent!
I rewound the rotor before I made all the tooling, so I pulled it back off and put it on the balance knives. It was balanced....
Did the final fine tuning on carb idle mixture and balance. Ready to permanently install the tank. While I was running it I noticed the voltmeter kept getting lower on each run. The outer slip ring on the rotor is barely showing any marks from the brush. I knew the brush was near the end.... Oh well... found a NOS on Ebay and ordered it.
High tone horn and rear brake hose from Hel showed up today.
I think I can.... I think I can....

Jim
Not to nit pick but it looks like on your swingarm nut there is no lock tab. The Looks like normal nut with no lock washer. I hope it has lock-tite on it. Hate to see it come loose while you were riding.
