Please help me identify this Ignition System!

Trying to simplify the wiring on my bike without breaking the bank.. does this ring a bell to anyone?
1981 Xs650, this was on when I got her.

Pamco, the original is not produced anymore , but Mikes XS is selling a knock-off. ........What is under the other side ???

An 81 should have a TCI electronic ignition so this motor may be a 79 or older''''

I believe that this is the case..
The alternator cover is on the bottom left of the engine. The small round cover with Yamaha on it. Two screws has it off and you can give us a picture to identify it. Might be a PMA or it might still be the original alternator. Some of the TCI ignition bikes were swapped to a Pamco ignition just because the TCI box went bad. So let's have a look and see what you have?
