Wow! I hope H-D can keep it together! You'd think they'd have some takeoff Sporty mufflers.

Yes it is! Took a look at the photographs. Motorsickle dealership? Hell, that's a whole dang lifestyle you got goin' on there. Harley-Davidson oil, mens apparel, womens apparel, branded sausages eaten off branded plates I have no doubt.'Course.... this dealership is huge...
Well done Dunc, it's a lot of work but you'll be on the road in no time. I just installed a new crankshaft and the shop said they had never seen a crank with so much play in the original.Busy weekend!
If you've got color on the sides of the porcelain on that white plug then it's not too lean. The other one is too rich. It appears the white plug is colored all the way up the sides and that, actually, is a tad rich. The dark color ring on the side of the porcelain should only come up about 1/4 of the way from the bottom.

Depends...stock they are fairly mellow, but most guys drill the baffles out and then they are very loud. You should be able to buy some for $50 or less. Are they really loud?

If your brother doesn't show, give me a call. I'll ride it for you! Cool scooter.A brother from Denver arrives in 10 days or so. He will want to ride it. Time to assemble. Install plugs, refit the exhaust. Only some progress. Cleaned up the chain with paint thinner and a drywall tray to keep the mess down. Worked a treat. Also, after the front brake work, I hosed down the caliper and rotor with brake cleaner to get rid of any brake fluid residue. (The details that keep you up at night).View attachment 211343View attachment 211344View attachment 211345View attachment 211346
