Ugly is, as ugly does. As most machinery goes, take it apart, clean it up, replace what's worn or broke, and put it all back together. It will remain ugly as sin.
...Good as used... (it'll never be good as new, but it'll work).

What do you make with it?Another question for you all.. I have a mill at Mom's house that I find myself needing to use more and more.
A little of this, a little of that. Right now I am building a little model steam engine, mostly cutting aluminum and some brass. Definitely not hogging off big pieces of steel. What do you make with it?
Far better than nothing at all. Mr. Pete (Tubalcain) has some informative videos on proper set-up and use.I have also considered a little milling attachment for the South Bend, any feedback on that? Waste of money?

Think it could be adapted to an Atlas bed?I have a southbend milling attachment. For a project like a model it can "do some things"... But overall they are awkward and small.
Drag that mill home!
I do not currently have a use for the SB milling attachment. Would be reasonable, check flea bay to get an idea of current pricing. Maybe might could deliver to the Ozarks rally!
pics if you're interested.

They sit on the carriage in place of the lantern post.
I think my 70yr old carriage would faint dead away if I tried to set that on it. Thanks bud... but I'll have to pass.Cuz they are way up on the carriage stability is a fairly serious issue.
