I cant seem to find this problem elsewhere or in the tech section, I have a pair of BS38 carbs that I was able to track a vacuum leak down to the choke on, I tried cleaning the plunger, then replacing it which slowed the leak slightly, then messed with the gasket all to no avail. Finally I cut a new gasket without any of the holes in it and put the choke mechanism over that which finally stopped my vacuum leak, but now I've effectively deleted my choke. Really I've just put a band aid on the issue and I would really like to retain a functioning choke, so has anyone else ever encountered this issue or similar?
