Stuff my dog says; on second thought I'll just build a race car

Did some thinking this evening while mowing and I feel like I've come to a solution for the question of lighting. A solution so simple it should've come to me sooner to be honest. I make a removable hatch under the nose where I can hide the electrical connections to the lights when not in use. The mounting of the lights themselves has never been in question, I'll just drill holes and tap the tops of the frame rails where they are exposed in front of the grill and make some brackets for small LED lights to go to there.

There is enough paperwork now I can confidently say the car will officially be a Tornado 928 Roadster. Tornado because thr engine name, 928 is the first three of the engine serial number will will double as the VIN, and Roadster as the body style. It's what the guy doing the paperwork put and I'm not bothered to change any of it.

Good times, took off work early yesterday to try and take care of the title, registration and insurance for the race car. Two different offices, at least 4 probably 5 but maybe more people later I still have nothing. Well, that's not true really. I have a paper saying that I need to verify the VIN that appears identically in 6 other official forms because "it just doesn't look right to me." It also says that I need to have an affidavit saying that there were no storage fees charged for the car, because the 2 separate bills I have showing no storage fees isn't enough I need something specifically stating that there were none charged.

You might say I'm irritated by these things. The good side of things is I talked to the lawyer that did the initial paperwork today and he's just as irritated and said he's going to take care of it.

I want an early 50's F1 in the worst way, but anything that isn't complete junk is priced into the stratosphere.
If the real world keeps on going the way it's going, those of us left alive may have our pick - I hope Jay Leno's garage survives...first dibs on the '38UL! Best!
