1975 B model brake hose help

Thanks for that - ties in with the spec from Hel Performance. I spoke to their technical guy and they do a kit for Uk spec B model so I just need to adapt that for my US bike. Appreciate your help. 👍

1975 B model brake hose help

Thanks for the replies - much appreciated. I’d still like to know what the female fitting is actually called so I can look for a Uk supplier to make up hoses with the correct bits on the end. Hel Performance call this a “ swivel circuit female extended barrel” 🤔 it comes as a M10 x 1.00 convex seat.

What have you done to your XS today?

Cleaned up and polished fork lowers - didn’t want a highly polished look so finished with wire wool & scotchbrite pad. Will be reinstalling forks soon so can somebody please post me at correct torque settings for ‘75 model? I have looked in tech section. Thanks.

What have you done to your XS today?

Sorry if it’s bad form replying to my own post! I’ve just looked at a rather chaotic video of XS650 fork dismantling - with the snappy title of How to Replace the seals in the XS650 Forks and looking at the different types of fork plungers so what type of plunger do I have on my B model and what...

Can get Emgo ones from Yambits but prefer to stick to OEM(I think!). any views welcome. Checked out fork rebuild thread on here but seems like I need a special tool so local bike shop...

    Indicators not flashing

When I fitted led indicators (genuine Yam) to my XSR700, I switched the wires round from the instructions provided and they worked perfectly. Based on advice from a mechanic friend. Might be worth a try?

    B model rear wheel removal

So after following advice I removed brake shoes and reassembled. Free as a bird. Took a look at the shoes - they are brand new from Yambits UK and the friction material was slightly proud of the metal along the sides. Took a Dremel to them and removed excess. put it all back together this...

    B model rear wheel removal

I’ve become an expert, thanks to all the help on here👏 on removing and installing the back wheel!! So, new day tomorrow. Remove, re-examine everything. The only things changed are the new shoes and correct adjusters. Gonna put the old shoes back on and see what happens. The fact that the wheel...
