Rear spoke hubs that will fit XS650.

Hello. I have searched the forum, but mostly found answers about rear disc hubs. Here in Sweden the spoked rear XS drumbrake Wheels are really hard to find,16" mags are the common Wheels here. Doe's anybody know if there are any more "common" japanese rear drumbrake hub that could fit? No...

Well,I don't have so many photos of the bike finished, take many during the build, but not many when finished... Flattrack revlimiter adjusting...

A short video when I did adjustment of the revlimiter on my blue Yamaha Flattrack....this test peaked at 8480 RPM,and later adjusted down to 7960 RPM. Test done in third gear...it's fun as hell, and quite fast little thing!

    Yamaha Flattrack finally finished!!

Haha....no problems, just ask!! Yes,it's a Yamaha AS3 -72 fueltank. The hubs/wheels are from a Suzuki RMZ450 motocross bike, new billet hubs that fit the RMZ with stainless spokes and Excel rims. And front "respoked" to 19". I use a crankmounted digital magneto ignition from Electrex World...

    Yamaha Flattrack finally finished!!

Hi. I used the actuator from a Suzuki GT750,3 cyl twostroke. Modified quite a bit to fit. Have a couple of this bikes and engines laying, and it is a good type of actuator,so thats why I used it. Anders.

    Yamaha Flattrack finally finished!!

Thank's!! Yes,they are nice...and quite loud!! Got the dimensions from Gary Hoos who said they will work with the engineparts from him,and they do! Runs really good, and totally different feel than my other XS650:s....had a BIG smile after the first testrun! ;) Anders.

    Yamaha Flattrack finally finished!!

Hi. I use a 19" front wheel, and I have manually measured all the values, not so good at "computer-design",so it could be some millimeters of. And use a front fork from a Yamaha R6 -00,it is shorter compared to standard XS fork. The seatunit, seatbase and "upholstery" are made by me. Make all...

    Yamaha Flattrack finally finished!!

Thank's Jim!! Well, did the first testrun just on the road yesterday, and it worked really good! Just love the engine...raw,brutal and when You pull the throttle the front wheel is very light!! :) A small drag when I pulled the clutch in gear, but I suspect some minor adjustment and maybe...

    Yamaha Flattrack finally finished!!

Soooo happy!! After a winter in my garage did the new build see the sun for the first time. Bought a pile of worn parts,a empty frame that was "abused" and modified...a box with some worn engineparts....but everything can be fixed,so this is the result from that pile of trash! Have been a fun...

    Mikuni maxed out

One thing often overlooked are the choke system. I would check that the chokeplunge have the rubber seal at the bottom with no damage, and that it seat properly for total seal. If you have a small leak,it will suck fuel from the bowl and mess up the jetting. Just check to be sure I mean.... Anders.

    XS650 Flattrack build.

Yes,I did all work myself. But not so much "hogging out",just Clean up the castings, and concentrated on the exhaust, specially the transit from the exhaust "bowl to the roof. And also direcltly before/after the seats. Also cut the seat with 3 angles. But I don't do heads for other people, had a...

    XS650 Flattrack build.

Thank's! Yes...it's my "mancave",small but try to use every Square meter as good as I can. :-) Have a few photos,I will try to explain how I did it. Made a big hole centered exactly on the gearbox axle. (put the cases on the mill, bolted it to the table, centered the mill on the bearing...

    XS650 Flattrack build.

Haha,You nailed them!! Well, some mods are maybe not necessary, but that is the beauty of modifying bikes...go your own way and test things that You belive in. The whole subframe are new built, the frame was "modifyed" by PO in a terrible way, they had cut the subframe of,and welded some awful...
