That's Interesting. PO told me frame was a 74 and motor was a 72. I do have ownership which is under the frame number, but for parts it would be good to narrow down the engine year. Thanks alot.

Hey everyone, I have a Canadian bike that the numbers on frame do not match engine. I know what year the frame is but the engine year has me stumped as none of the lists I have seen here on this site show a beginning code of 806-00xxxx Anyone that can help me out I would appreciate it.

I think that is to trick the bike into thinking it is already started so the light can come on, however i don't think i have to do that now that i removed the reserve lighting device and connected blue/black to blue/yellow.

The bike is reportedly a 74 motor and a 72 frame so PO may have just ordered a new wiring loom and modified it. The gauges are aftermarket and the neutral light is on the speedo.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies.. i was going over some of the other posts and decided to pull the reserve lighting device and discovered PO had already done it but he did not connect the Blue/black wire to the Blue/yellow wire after unplugging it. As soon as i did this all was good and...

Hey there, wondering what people are doing with their 72's.. have this 72 motor that i may throw into another frame but unsure about this year motorcycle. I know that the starter was activated by the compression release but do people still use this or are they modding it differently with starter...

Signals flash quick like they would if a bulb needed replacing but only at a higher rpm.. at idle they flash as they should. Thoughts?

Thanks, i did not like the look of a fender in this particular case so eliminated it. I think it cleans it up abit.
