    77 Cafe Project

Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. Hopefully this project will give you something else to think about and put a smile on your face. I like the direction you are heading.

Looks great, IMHO cafes need either the xs750 or a tank from the 70-72 650, that is just a style preference though. Love the bike so far.

To Kick (only) or Not to Kick (only)

One thing to consider, my bike is a 71 so i had no choice it's kick only. I'm still sorting out six different issues. She has a habbit of running great until I'm in the left turn lane with twelve cars behind me and then she stalls out. With the big bore it can be lots of fun trying to kick...

    michigan events to meet at.

That is one I think I could make. It is even close enough that I could risk riding there. I still have trust issues with the old girl. Dave

Wanted - 16mm flat (not slanted MC) doesn't have to be Yamaha

I'm looking for a front master cylinder with a 16mm port (hole or whatever it's called) with a flat design rather the slanted one for the buck-horn bars. I have switched to dual disk and the stock MC isn't getting the job done but I'd rather not pay Mike's price for a new MC. I don't really...

Bobber guys - what are you doing for master cylinder?

So do any of you guys know of a 16mm that would work with flat bars? Don't really want to pay mikes prices. Thanks!

Short Vid of my rephased Xs650

Yeah I'd have to do something because the '71 is kick only

Where/How did you first learn to work on your bike?

I am learning on this bike as I go. One reason I got an early 70's bike. Cheap to buy so if I kill it not as much financial loss.

Short Vid of my rephased Xs650

I'm sure this has been asked but what, who's rear sets are those? If I could be so bold, how much did they run? Sounds great btw. Dave

    Back working on the 71

Sorry I suck and spelling and think faster than I can type. Torque from the bore was my intent. I was also hoping for a hint or two on the cam chain thing being an extreme novice. Thanks for the reply btw. Dave
