The VAPE instructions state:
“Do not use spark plugs with an intern suppression resistor. NGK (e.g.) offered such spark plugs coded with an "R" (for resistor).”
It’s my understanding that the BPR7EIX plugs have an internal 5k Ohm resistor and therefore should not be used, or am I understanding...
Maybe a stupid question. How did you mark your case/cover for LTDC, RTDC, BTDC, etc? My degree wheel is in the way preventing my from accurately marking anything.
I have the engine in LTDC right now with a degree wheel. I play to measure the 42mm and tighten up the rotor bolt (is there a...
does the ground switch for the "kill" to the coils have to be a constant switch or can it be momentary?
Constant would be once you switch to ground, it stays grounded until you switch it back, momentary just temporarily grounds
Thanks. I drew up a wiring diagram that I think will work with VAPE and the m unit. See attached. What do you think? All other connections not listed are as follows from the VAPE directions.
Question about the kill switch for the coils. Can this be a momentary push button or does it have to be...
Question about the coils. There are two ground symbols. I’m guessing one is the ground through the spark plug. Does the other one (circuses in picture) mean that I should mount the coils to a part of the frame with a clean ground?
Ok I spent some time today verifying TDC with a piston stop and degree wheel.
I can confirm that the RH compression stroke TDC happens 277 degrees AFTER the LH compression TDC. Therefore the left hand cylinder using the TOP pickup on the stator plate. Correct?
Now with timing I measure a...
