The wheel spun very freely with no chain. So I'm guessing it's like others have said and just tight becuse its a brand new x-ring chain. I will re tension with the bike on the ground and me on it.
OK apologies this is a very beginner question. I just put new sprockets and a chain on and now I notice the wheel doesn't spin nearly as free as it did before. Is this normal? chain is tensioned and aligned.
I can't seem to find any spec for the rear sprocket bolts in my manual. I found a thread on here that says 22 foot pounds but that doesn't seem like much. Is that correct?
This one? https://www.partzilla.com/blog/motion-pro-chain-alignment-tool?gclid=Cj0KCQiA3fiPBhCCARIsAFQ8QzUvlsY-ZXXlppucoSKthwuEmS3IB6NomuFYVl3W2ZsvlesofY3fcMEaAtCtEALw_wcB
Looks very slick. I'll be changing my sprockets and chain here pretty soon and this looks like it might come in handy.
I'm looking at ordering some sprockets and thanks for the advice here, I'll get a 32 tooth rear. But i also feel like I should just replace the chain as well. Should I go down a size to a 520 chain? Just for clearance?
Thanks for the input 5twins. I did change the o rings on the mix screws. Also changed the outside shaft seals but I was a bit nervous removing the butterfly plates and I didn't do the inside ones.
I have the adjustable needles set to 3rd slot from the top. And iv got 135 air jets in currently...
I'm went up 1 size in the pilot and main. 45 and 135. I never thought about reducing the air jet, but that makes sense. I'll order a size down and see what that does.
Jim if you or anyone else would care to have a listen here's a couple videos. First one is 3 turns out and there's this slight burp/pop I can't figure out but it's only on the left side. Second video is at 4 turns out. That burp seems to go away but it's my understanding 4 turns out is way to much.
Thanks Jim that's what I figured. Iv been playing with my carbs for the past few weeks and I'm having trouble getting it dialed in. Turning the mix screw out makes it richer right? (Bs34's)
