Hey all, been a bit.
The project has been going well. I've just been riding it a bunch and working out the kinks.

The tank is NOT done. I am waiting on a painter friend to have an opening so he can get the tank done properly.

They must have been dropped at some point. Very odd to be sure. I'm happy I inspected them so closely or I'd still be messing with it since the bikes timing was spot on.
For anyone looking for an answer.
I found a crack on the top of the right carb that was causing the diaphragm to not seal.
I used some JBweld to seal the crack.
Bike starts, runs and revs like new.
Ah okay. It's a stock sized headlight but not stock looking frankly.
I went with a more modern style on the light.
I'll be putting the whole bike together this weekend after I get the new carbs in so I'll get some pictures
Mostly factory, I bought some new snap connectors and am working on swapping everything over. The bucket I sent fits all the factory wiring and then some. The headlight is significantly thinner than the factory light
Okay. I finally had time to check timing. The engine at TDC lines up with the dowel position and the TDC mark on the rotor. Looks like I'm digging more
