    WTF pictures

Have you ever seen a pair of leather gloves that did not shrink after getting wet? No, I thought not.

small victories -- won a race on Saturday

That's a nice post. I hope that you can continue running or doing whatever you want to do as long as you like. It's good for all of us to be associated in even some small way with a winner. Congratulations.

Make Offer - Closing the SOIR, going to electric bicycles, dispersal sale, it's been a hell of a ride, all must go.

No reason to chastise yourself, Mikey. It just shows the level of trust that you and others place in Gary's word. Well... maybe you should be a bit more careful. 😚

    TX750 Vid

This video brings back memories of the 1973 TX750 that I bought new. It was in the States, so it was a solid gold color. I was apparently lucky as I had very good luck with it mechanically. While I did not want to, I ended up having to sell it after a few years as my young family was growing...

    cardboard drones

These drones were direct aid from Australia. They have a cost in the low thousands and not millions that the more conventional drones cost. It is yet to be confirmed by our usual sources, but Ukraine reports destroying 5 Russian war machines. That's quite a return on the Australian aid dollar.

    10 Books You Recommend

Earlier this year the Iowa legislature passed a law to remove from all schools any book containing references to descriptions of sex. Ironically George Orwell's "1984" made the list of nearly 400 at one high school. "1984" is a cautionary tale about censorship in a totalitarian government...

For Sale - Rewound Alternator Rotor

My golly that top one (76) is gorgeous. I have debated doing custom paint on my 76, and this makes it harder to resist. Of course I'll never get the chrome so nice, but I can dream.

    Japanese Video Comparison, 1970 Yamaha XS1 vs 1973 Kawasaki WS1 650

Fun to see the Kaw do the backwards concrete crawl while on the centerstand. I think the Yam is better at it, however. :sneaky:

    Why Bhp(kw)

BHP (Braking) is a measure of horsepower at the wheels. HP is the horsepower totally available at the engine. Braking would be expected to be less. In farm country where I live, we often express it as (hitch) horsepower as it's important to understand the size of of the implements that we can...

    WTF pictures

Raw speculation suggests 'tree vans' in place of 'tree houses'. They come with plumbing and electrical along with ladder for entry? Of course, it's a descriptive misnomer as they are not supported by trees. Interesting at the very least.

    Real Estate Update

Checked online for polyurethane closed cell insulation and it can now be a Class A fire rating. That means that it generally won't support combustion on its own. I don't know what your supplier uses, so it may be rated differently. And the insurance company may still not cover it, or at least...

    Real Estate Update

Years ago I applied urethane costings, and it was universally required to be painted for insurance purposes. But that was in the early 70s, so consider that. The biggest reason for covering was to keep sunlight (UV) from deteriorating the insulation. With no windows or doors open often...

    Real Estate Update

One thought that I had this late in the game is having an overhead hoist available. It wouldn't be too late to install some proper support.

Remember when changing headlights in your car was easy?

Yes. A friend had one headlight go out on his Dodge that was about 12 years old. He needed to replace a computer module that cost $1000. And labor was on top of that. Good golly.

    Feedback for DogBunny

I concur with all of these positive comments. How he does all that he does, as well as, he does is a mystery to me. I am grateful for his efforts getting me only the parts that I needed, and that while attending to others' needs also. Thank you, DG.
