    Bridge rectifier check please?

Let me know how you get on. If you can’t find suitable connectors, Bikers Toolbox do a good range of 6.3 and 2.4 multi block connectors compatible with many Japanese bikes. I’ve used loads of them on Kawasaki’s. 👍🏻

The VI bobber now runs… but not well.

Does it still have the mechanical timing advance? If so, it could possibly be weak springs on the advance mechanism. This would allow some advance at lower speeds? If the advance is taken care of by your replacement ignition, ignore this post.

    73 TX Winter Refresh

Hi cra-Z1, I guessed you were a Kawasaki guy, they’re nice bike for sure and yours looks stunning! We share a number of tastes as I also have a mint, unrestored GS1000G from 1982. Totally untouched apart from a repaint of the front/top of the engine with 16000 miles on it from new. It came...

    73 TX Winter Refresh

Hi cra-z1, The latest complete restoration is a 77 Z1000A1. I had the paintwork re finished a couple of years ago but to get the bike as I want it it’s just had a full engine out restoration. Full engine strip and rebuild, frame and running gear powder coated. It had alloy wheels on it so I...

    73 TX Winter Refresh

Hi, I bought the bike back in 2019/2020 and it was in a very poor condition. It was an import from the US and had been stood in a barn since 1984. I did post some earlier threads with photos of it as I got it and how I restored it and now I’ve just had all the chrome work re plated it’s sort...

    73 TX Winter Refresh

Hi Guys, Yes, the silencers were bought from Mikes XS over in the USA. The shipping was very expensive but the silencers are decent quality, fit well and are a very good reflection of the original shape. I‘d buy more spares from the same source if the shipping was more reasonable. When the...
