This still needs some finish work, but being able to program/run CNC saves a bunch of time.

Finally upgraded the lights on the vapor blast cabinet. Using some of those "super slim LED offroad light bars". They are cheap and supposedly waterproof.

This is slowly coming along, doing some work on the crank and cleaning up the ports. Haven't decided on a cam yet, I kinda want something with more than stock, but I'm not sure I want to spend $3-400 on a cam.

Yep, that's exactly what I did. The skim cut on the lathe makes sure they all match.

Steel, the original jaws only give you about a 1/4 of depth to grab big parts. I needed a bit more depth for flywheels and dirtbike cranks.

Made new jaws for the 4 jaw on my atlas. Flipped around the original jaws didn't have enough depth.

Made some adapters and finally have a vent fan on the vapor blast cabinet.

A little more progress, cradle is partially welded in, and head steady is built. Next up is front mounts. Then I'll tear ir down, fully weld everything, add gussets where I think they're needed, and fully assemble the stroker motor.

Some progress to note. The rear mounts are done, lower is tabs on the frame, upper uses the swingarm bolt. It's a tight fit, but it'll be fine. Next up is front mounts, and the new cradle.

Thanks! I enjoy building bikes for myself. I wouldn't want to do it as a job. Here's a pic of the cr conversion which shows what my end goal is for this one, just this one will be bigger.

I plugged the hole in the crankshaft for the pin, tacked it in place, then using a fixture i made drilled/bored a new hole offset 4mm. This increases the stroke once the crank is reassembled by 8mm. Combine that with the 1mm over piston and it'll go from a 195cc motor to a 223cc. The CRF230...

So last year I built a cr80 with an xr100 motor, it's a blast but a little on the small side for long trails. So starts a new build, 1998 yz125, with an xr200 motor. The motor is going to be a bit mix n match, xr200 bottom end with the crank stroked 8mm, atc200x cylinder for the big fins...

I did 8 tires on the ground last year, because of how much places want to change a tire. $65+ tax and disposal fees, add in the 20-30minute drive each way and its really not worth it. The no-mar setup showed up on marketplace a couple days ago and I tried to resist but it was still there after...

I bought a new shop tool today. Picked up a second hand no-mar tire changing stand with all the extras. Not a bad grab for $200, normal retail would be over $1k
