    So git 'er Done

Sounds like good practice - I've certainly heard of people rinsing an empty tank with petrol-two stroke mix to coat the inside and keep rust at bay.

    Whats your weather right now?

And after a cold, clear night we had frost this morning. Now, I hoped that this late in the year, a single night frost might not lead to the Scottish Government calling the salt trucks out . . . However, just in case, decided to use Polly, Kawasaki W800 for today's outing to the shops. Ok, it's...

Should we be afraid of Artificial Intelligence?

Heard a university lecturer on Radio Four a few months back talking about marking work submitted by his students. Apparently, getting harder and harder as more and more of what he receives appears to be machine generated . . .

    Interesting motorcycles, not XS650

Bet it does better burnouts than wheelies . . .

    Whats your weather right now?

In the Scottish Borders, it's too bloomin' cold to do anything today. Cold and windy. Would like to spend the day in the garage but not going to.

Should we be afraid of Artificial Intelligence?

I loved the quote from the guy who sacked 90% of his work force (Suumit Shah, CEO Dukaan) who said it looks brutal if you're human . . .

Should we be afraid of Artificial Intelligence?

An interesting little film on humanoid robots - The commentators in the studio appear to be very impressed by such details as the vocal fry in the robot's voice. Radio Four this week was talking about a robot exhibition where one of the humanoid machines could vary its facial expression to...

Make Offer - Closing the SOIR, going to electric bicycles, dispersal sale, it's been a hell of a ride, all must go.

I read this on 16th April - my dear departed Sister's birthday - so it took me a minute to realise the SOIR Closing Down Sale was announced 1st April.

    Fuel demand and modding tanks

Well, not a habit exactly but I went through filling jugs with petrol and timing the result to measure flow rates with the wee Bullet 500. The fuel tap that came with the bike gave more of a dribble than a decent flow, replacing it resolved the issues I had with the bike conking out. Discussed...

    WTF pictures

Wow, an introduction - for them of us as knows nuffin - to the world of electric unicycles.

    Whats your weather right now?

Got the first cut done on Thursday, after getting back from seeing Elliot on the RE. Only managed to cut one area - the bit nearest the house. Has rained at least part of the time every day since so I dunno when the rest will be cut.

What have you done to your XS today?

Probably quickest bodge for that situation is place a thin plank or wood, half-inch is ideal, under where the centre stand will go, slight extra heave to bring 'er up, space under rear wheel is restored. I find thin planks, wood blocks, wedges come in handy for jobs like that, similarly for...

    2003 Royal Enfield 500 Deluxe

As well as the Meteors, RE now have the retro-style Bullet on the same 350 platform. Looks similar to an old iron barrel but without the aggravation/character, depending how you look at it. I love chuffin' around on a low-power, heavy-flywheel single but never ridden one of the new ones so...
