I may have a spare I'd be willing to part with. I will be able to check tomorrow. Where are you located?

    Boyer and Pamco Ignition

At $360 not including sensors, I won't be trying it for ignition only applications. I'm gonna give something else a go first. I'm not quite ready for ignition yet, but my intention is to find something simple and affordable, as well as something that others in the community can easily replicate.

    Boyer and Pamco Ignition

What about adapting a Ultima programmable ignition? Anyone tried it? Seems the timing curve and rpm limits of a Harley engine would work on a stock xs650 engine...

    Tires

One pitfall of going too wide is that it 'squeezes' the tire narrower. This changes the shape of the tire and causes the bike to 'fall over' in corners due to the ovalized shape. That said, I am running shinko 705 110/90-19 front, 120/80-18 rear. And I love them.

    Getting bad exhaust studs out?

after you have welded the nut on, or heated the stud, make sure you let it cool completely. This allows it to shrink, and 'pull away' from the walls of the thread hole.

    Getting bad exhaust studs out?

The welded nut trick usually works for me. When it doesn't I drill them out. One broken easy-out and you learn not to trust them, cause drilling hardened steel is the worst kind of headache
