Made me laugh.....Then I had to look up Shoo Goo.
Product history
Origins
Shoe Goo was created in 1972 by Lyman Van Vliet, a 45-year-old senior executive at Hughes Aircraft Co. with a degree in physics from Wayne State University. A frequent player of tennis, Van Vliet was dissatisfied with the...
Paul Sutton,
Interesting......
Count the rays, 16 makes it a match for the Japanese Naval Ensign (flag) in your picture. Sneaky bastards, ..... but I would then think it to be pretty cool because everybody is a patriot of somewhere.

Personally I don't think that the stock round taillight of your 77 is funny looking.
I kept mine and think of it as the designers tribute to the Japanese flag! The designers carried that round shape through many other parts of the bike.... including the turn signals, rotor cover, clutch...
Interesting idea. You'll have the most flex using a heat tolerant hose that matches the diameter of the inner crossover stub and welding a threaded bushing into the outer crossover stub. You could also use rigid tube if you bend down from the stubs and across. How much deflection do you need...
Roco22,
I wouldn't remove the braced swing arm.... its a good upgrade. There are thousands of 650's using a two into two exhaust without a crossover tube.
I would put that stock exhaust system aside and put on an aftermarket system. If you do remove the crossover tube I agree with 650Skull to...
Geeeeeezes...
Personally..... I do not think he was talking about your taillight.
Agreed...Agreed...Agreed.
Yamaha77 you are a narcissistic poser. It is my opinion that you think that the motorcycle world and this forum lives on 'the look' and that we envy your incredible style. WTF! Your...
Nice tidy list....I'm guessing that the china seat is gonna require some fab time.
I was reading these threads as they developed. Some seriously intellectual stuff there.......just how many pocket protectors do you own? (said purely in jest).
I found one on EBAY searching by part number and...
After having the 650 back on the road for a couple of seasons I've got a few things on my 'to do' list to get done this winter.
Put a little style in my muffler supports.
Repair a stripped valve cover stud.
Resto-modify my old sport fairing and mounts. Repaint.
Rework the extra prong to keep...
Seeing easydawg (who was being a total dick) have a complete meltdown was seriously entertaining. Oddly.......I'm going to miss that guy.

I am not a young rider........and I guess my ego is pretty normal. ............But that having thing would probably cause me to mess with my comfort zone.

Well.....I made the woodruff key and installed it today. I saw the thread about making it T-shaped from 3/16 stock and that worked fine. It was a good thing that I had saved the old one.
Just have to mark TDC then re-adjust the valves and carburetor.
