I grew up racing BMX bikes in the 80's and I'm trying to base my bobber build on a BMX theme.Im thinking about doing the wheels old school Skyway Tuff II graphites style with gold hubs.I know some people don't like the mag style wheels but to each his own.
I'm probably just going to use the stock wheels. The budget is fairly limited so I'll probably just have the stock wheels powder coated flat black and hubs done in gold.My friend is a machinist so I'm gonna have him supervise me so I can make a speedo delete cover.Im going to use a micro speedo unit I have from one of my mountain bikes.
Wow...BMX, haven't thought of that in years. I have an old GT Neck Stem somewhere in my basement that was going to go onto my Redline frame, but it got stolen from my front yard, and I never got another. I guess skating took over and that was that.
I was going over color schemes this past weekend muself and the thing that kept coming to mind was my old junky Monkey Wards BMX that I rode when my old IT175 was broke...
