Whats your weather right now?

Wet! Had a little snow over night and at 6:30 AM it was 35ºF Happy May Day central NY!

And for a little weather related dream, just before I woke up this morning I was dreaming I was at some rally riding wife's Vespa and thinking I was going to get in trouble if I didn't get the snow and road salt washed off as soon as I got home! Was kind of surprised that the Vespa handled pretty good in the slushy snow!

Strange how fashion and taste change with time. Back in the mid-70s Vespa owners really had the piss taken out of them. Now 40 - 50 years latter I wouldn't mind having one...:bike:

Well wife has a GTV300 which if I remember off the top of my head is 278 CCs. It will get up and move pretty good especially as she doesn't have to do any shifting. Up to 60mph she can probably keep up with my 1992 1200 Sportster that is hauling a sidecar. The 1988 1200 Sportster or XS650 with no sidecars I'm sure could take her without too much trouble but I would be busy shifting while she is just twisting the grip and relaxing!

87 today rode WJL between wrenching and blue magic sessions, then knocked the dust off this year's road couch ( 1100 Shadow Sabre) for 25 miles of back road putting. :smoke:

Cardiff, Wales: 3 Celsius following a light frost. Clear blue sky with no wind. I will have breakfast then off for a ride. But.......Tomorrow promises heavy continuous rain and strong wind for the day. This time it will move north to pay Raymond a visit with perhaps a little sleet or snow...

Cold. Far too bloody cold for May. But nonetheless, nature is trying to get on with Spring. The cherry tree is coming into blossom:

Yesterday, glorious sunshine all morning. And when it clouded over in the afternoon, it was still warm - for Scotland - at about 16°C.

60-ish in Fahrenheit?

And today, shaping up to be an even better day.

But so far in May, very unusual weather. Mostly cold for this late in the year.

One day last week, we had a late-afternoon hail storm. I will say it was the heaviest hail storm I have ever seen in my sixty-four years! Mrs and I went up to the top floor to watch. The noise of heavy hail, bigger than marbles, hammering on the roof! The gutterings filled up with ice and the road and sidewalks below were white in a minute. But all the while, the low Sun was still shining, bathing the house across the road and the trees behind like a giant celestial searchlight, against a contrasting dark charcoal-grey sky. And to add further drama to the scene, there was a double rainbow. Don't think we'll ever forget that.

The outdoor thermometer, in the shade on the back deck is reading 91° right now, just went up a degree. That's about 20° too hot for this old Yankee.

There's a REASON I live in Maine, not Arid-zona, and this ain't it!
