That bittersweet time has come for me - averaging only about 600 miles/yr the last four years, not enough to keep up skills, and at age 77, reality sets in - time to pass it along to someone who can enjoy it more. I'm the third owner, have had it 11 years - second owner had it only briefly, was gonna chop it but decided it was just too nice. It just turned over 20,000 miles; oil and side filter last changed on 10Oct2020 at 19,981; sump screen clean. Check my signature and Redleg's '82 Heritage Special album to see what I've done with it. It's effectively a single-seater now. Comes with detailed log, Owner's Manual, Haynes manual and extras like DIY reg/rectifier, Gonzo box with pigtail, Boyer Brandsen ignition, good extra rotors (Jim Dent rewind is on it now), Yamaha 2FY (H4 capable) headlight assembly and other minor items. Located in Oakland Township, MI. $3000. Any questions, please message me. It's not posted anywhere else yet; I'd love to see it go to someone who cares enough about these 650 twins to be a member on this forum.

I’m sorry to hear you’re selling your bike, you’ve done a lot of nice modifications to it. Good luck with your sale, but just because you sell your bike doesn’t mean can’t hang around! :) You still have a lot of experience to share with those looking for help and besides, us older fellas gotta stick together!

:agree: when a new member does log on, that member needs to be acknowledged, encouraged, and appreciated.
After selling 3 XS650's myself in the last few years, I've noticed is is difficult to convince many guys to join and be active. Many XS riders are not interested.

I'm gonna stay on the forum, for sure!

Thanx much, Gary - cosmetic changes since this pic are to vent the rotor cover and side panels with stainless steel mesh and replace the black plastic disc on left side of front hub with a machined aluminum one
