I found these on Amazon.
Will they secure to Yamaha seven spoke wheels? I find the stick-on weights fall off long before the tire wears out and I’m sick of them. I can’t see a difference between these and what MikesXS is selling. If you’re successfully running them, please share with me. My stick-on weights fell off again.

Marty I use the spoke weights, they are costlier but look good and can be re-used. Search Amazon for those.

Those should work if you can figure out a way to crimp them on there good. I cast my own weights for my spoke wheels and find it usually require 2 to 3 weights 3/4 to 1 ounce each, so I wouldn't get the 1/2 ounce ones, go bigger.

There is a trick to using the stick-ons. First, of course, clean the area well with alcohol or acetone or something. Then, paint the area with:

Let it pretty much dry out, like the instructions say. There are hundreds of brands of contact cement, it comes in tubes, bottles, etc., it has many names, and you likely already have some. You will have to work to remove the weight when the time comes to do so.

I just cut out lead strips and fix them with doublesided tape, the stuff with foam in the middle. The first set fell of so I thoroughly cleaned the spot like DogBunny said and now they are still there 2 years later.

I like that mould 5twins has. It reminds me of when I was about 14 and used to mould my own fishing weights with a pattern I carved into sandstone. The lead came from old lead head roofing nails.

I really need some proper weights for my Virago, the sort that jetmechmarty originally posted about.

My stick ons do If I use carb cleaner and papertowel first. I typically stick the weights on while the carb cleaner is still damp figger it softens then sets the glue a bit better.
Put OEM plastic window "brow" shades on the van doors, they are stuck to the paint, one side I used the alcohol wipes that came with (these things have rep for falling off). Other side acetone on paper towel. Guess which was the only side to STAY on?
