Restoring 72 xs looking for decompression parts,valve cover etc anything parts or a direction to find the parts be really appreciated

Welcome to the forum, the right handlebar switch is available from the aftermarket, I’m running this on my XS2,
It has the decompression lever included.

You’re gonna have to hunt for the valve cover with the decompression mechanism, as Jim said you might have some luck in the classified section, also watch EBay. There are a lot of dismantlers that operate on there.
 
You don't really need it for the starter motor to operate, do you? Bob, is yours even hooked up?

My cable is slack. It’s all there for the correct appearance, but no, I don’t actually use the compression release. I do start it by pulling the lever, because that’s where the starter switch is located.
