If any of you follow Gas Monkey Garage down in Dallas, TX they have been showing videos recently of a major purchase. Richard bought the entire estate of and old bike racer named Kenny Kannenberg up in MN. Some very incredible and iconic bikes in his collection. They decided to ship around 165 bikes down to Auction America in Auburn, IN for a live no reserve auction for the entire collection on Labor Day weekend. I happen to live just 25 miles down the interstate from this auction house. It’s an amazing facility and have seen some really incredible cars sold there over the years. I’m definitely going to secure some tickets to go have a look-see. I can usually get free tickets from my work too as our main steel mill is just a few miles down the road too. Have a look at this website for info and link to some of Gas monkey’s videos of the estate. It’s hard to grasp that he collected so much cool shit over his lifetime.

Wow! That is one impressive collection! Make sure you take your checkbook when you go. ;)

I'm sure several of those bikes will go for crazy dollars...the Honda CBX will prob be North of $20k alone...then the Kawasaki widow makers. Norton's, etc. Awesome collection. Drooling all over the place.

Going to be a " deep pocket " event..... my pockets only reach about the second knuckle....

Day one complete.
Can’t believe some of the prices here. The xs’s start rolling across just before the 5hr mark. I find it odd that not one of them is referred to as an XS650. I personally like this Honda GB500’s. And he had three of them in nearly new condition. Don’t see those too often.

The "4 cyl" ( ) water buffalo did alright for itself at 9K.

I laughed at that too. Good money for that bike.

I don’t think I would pay do much for a bike like that without being able to see it firsthand. I’ve been looking for one (GT750) all year and a engine “refresh” is expensive and a must do on those old two strokes. Up here a bottom end rebuild (check bearings and replace crank seals) costs $2-3K Cdn. I’m getting close to scoring one and will post pics once I land it.:)
