I may be collecting, but for me it's about riding. These really aren't collectors' items as I see it. That said, before I spend $5000 on a 40 year old motorcycle that I can't take to a shop and has limited parts available, I'll buy a new one! The Royal Enfield Interceptor is close enough. I will buy that before I pay $5K for an XS650B.Further down past the original post

I know some of you feel differently and that's OK too. I'm more about go than show.
I don't think anyone here has a strictly dust it only and don't dare ride it bikes here
I don't know who is lurking. I've been to some VJMC shows. I've seen big money XS650s.

Those white wall tyres - they don't suit the bike IMO - made me think of co respondent shoes.
IMHO, the XS650 Special looks great with raised white letter tires, just like the era it's from.
He has what looks like a nice 75 too
Just cuz it IS a verticle twin and there are some Norton fans here.

Here's a very controversial XS650. You can weigh in, maybe even contact the dealer and tell him what he has. I think he consigns these bikes.
