While replacing the headlight shell and fork ears along with installing a used cluster I needed to do a bit of re-wiring. There were some changes in the harnesses between the years. I have been able to borrow the special crimping tool but needed the correct connectors. The ones from Mikes XS were good but you have to order the insulation separately. Got some from Corsa Technic which come with the insulators and at a little less cost per connector.
So, If you ever need replacement connectors check them both out.

I bit the bullet (pun intended) and bought a full Revival Cycles MIZU connector & kit with loom insulation. Super quality connectors and excellent harness insulation; far better then OE or bullet type fittings.
I believe that they have bundle offers on offer right now.

I will have to look that up.
Thanks for the tip. Be nice to get a large size wiring diagram. I have printed out one I found online but
it's too small to easily read. 8.5x11 just doesn't cut it.
Lots of wiring diagrams in the tech section on this site.

Extremely informative tutorial. The first post has lost some pics but using the name of parts with a google search will give the information to that part that is not showing up...........Not much work to do compared to the work done on this tutorial to help us................

Another +1 on vintage conections

I have printed out 2 wiring diagrams one for a 75 and one for a 76 XS650. Going over to Staples in a bit to have them enlarged so my 71yo eyes can read them better. Progress being made.
Yep enlarging is a good idea; like you my old eyes aren't so good! I often laminate the diagrams too so as to have a wipe clean surface.

Yes Vintage Connections. Had to re-wire the Gs1100 harness a few weeks ago.
