A 5 bike collection

Techron is probably like other fuel system cleaners. They rely on IPA , isopropyl alcohol for moisture absorption, kerosene/diesel for lubricating properties and naptha (or one of the other short carbon chain solvents) for disolving sludge. It is likely that most carbs really only need the naptha component and a quart of naptha (you use a few ounces at a time) is $8-$10 at Ace or True Value.

Set of nice pipes $1500 includes free! attached running, titled motorcycle.
That original exhaust is worth at least half your asking price...rare as hen's teeth the headers usually discolor or rust out...I'm getting a woody over this one...😂
Afrtermarket exhaust for XS1100s and XJ1100s are not made anymore...

Wrestled carbs free on my 79 xs1100. My octopus.

The 81 SPII is going to a great home. A gas tank derust and bit of clean up, engine maint 101 was about it.
Son bought it for his 81 year old father who had this EXACT bike brand new, quit riding, family etc. then his "boys" got ahold of it. Yah-know what I mean?
Anyways dad got back to riding and really wanted to have "HIS" bike back.

I want to be that guy, still enjoying motorcycles into my eighties, or at least to the end of me. I have a friend who will be 77 next month. Last year, he had a liver and kidney transplant. He's back and good as new. I talked to him yesterday and he had been out on his Road King that has 160,000 miles on it. He has three other Harleys that he rotates time on, two of them are Sportsters.

Thanks for the inspiration, Don!

YICS is a swirl induction system. Suzuki used a similar setup on the Tempter to enable it to run very lean mixtures, which always makes me shudder whenever I am reading about someone's Tempter project and the first thing they do is disable it.

Dang, if I'm reading the manual correctly, the big XJ's alternator is good for a stout 364W. It would be interesting if the parts could be made to fit a 650.

It's like you're reading my mind @MacMcMacmac ! I was looking in the manual you posted for an explanation of the YICS
Just had it out for 50 miles, I'm suspecting I'm down one cylinder, maybe dig in tomorrow.
