Trying to find out what these might be for a guy was offered the set for $150.00

General consensus over on heavy equipment forum is thinking aerospace or some such thing.

Maybe Jim would know?

Possibly for gland nuts on landing gear struts.

Just look up the manufacturer that’s stamped on em. Should be quite easy to find out what they are.

Kinda look like tubing wrenches but I don’t think they are.

Circled in red... these are ratchet mechanisms. The "sockets" above them plug in and you can ratchet nuts on and off of cylinders. They're for high volume production type work. I've seen 'em before, just can't remember if it was hydraulic actuator or gear strut work.

Pure guess work but as Jim suggests going over pipework to tighten or loosen the gland nut.
The alternative would be to use an adjustable which runs the possibility of a rounded hex?

If you look close at the upper items you can see they are made for 8 sided "nuts" so that makes them even more specialized.

Guy who was looking at them passed on the purchase and just wondered what they were for. If the person selling them finds someone who actually has a need for them that person will probably get a real deal, I'm sure $150.00 is a small fraction of the price the manufacture asks!
