hard clutch pull

I was not dissatisfied with my pull but the "it's not a neutral finding SOB" my son mentioned had me curious. Another recent post here mentioned taking ALL the slack out of the ramp adjustment because as it warms the aluminium cases expand more than the steel pushrod and gives enough slack. So, I tried that today. Holy sh!t does that work nice. Neutral all day long and a light lever.

yeah weak humor.
I first did the alternate spring thing with Barnetts on a bike in the 70's for the same reason as you. It worked fine. Tried 3 and 3 (EBC think) on madness, but that clutch was past it's due date and not up to 750cc duty, it continued to slip, even when I went to all 6 EBC, finally itgot the 8 plate conversion, that was three years ago? It's been rock solid since, with reasonable, though firmer, lever action.
Just figured out the humour. It’s actually funny. 🤣

After rerouting my cable I thought I should attach the luggage scale to it again. The numbers were wonky but the highest I saw was about 25lbs but I think the actual pull is closer to 20 now. I think the uncomfortable thing for me is how far out the Magura lever sticks out from the handlebar grip. I don’t have giant hands and the extended reach can be felt.

I have small hands too. Large dia. grips will make a clutch pull harder too.
