I have a lot of brain cells dedicated to those. I had a love hate relationship with the Tritanic. Truly a great airplane in my book.
If you have an interest , in a very clearly explained analysis of what happened in the mid air crash of the two vintage war planes at the Dallas air show. This video is a presentation by a former commander and flight leader of the Air Forces Thunderbirds. He explains that in an air show, different planes have very clearly defined and strictly enforced flight paths, he says it looks like the P-63 swung wide on its approach to the airfield and drifted into the lane that was reserved for the bombers, he said it appeared as though the pilot realized his error and was banking harder in an effort to correct course. In his banked over position the bomber was in a blind spot, underneath his wings and the belly of his plane.

Wondering if anyone recognises this cockpit. It's a sample shot from a D600 camera, so was taken about ten years ago, and probably of a cockpit that's long been retired and now an exhibit.

Fwiw... had it narrowed down to either an early 747 or a C-5 before I saw that.

The Russians and Chinese probably had the plans years ago.I thought they used to be kinda secretive about those things. Now they roll them out like the Detroit auto show!
