Interesting motorcycles, not XS650

I saw one of these close up today on the street, it actually looked pretty nice and sporty with traditional styling touches. The Kawasaki Z650RS.

Saw one of these in a local dealer but tricked out with Ohlins etc. Stunning machine!
Apparently all UK allocation is sold for the foreseeable future!!

I know one that bought one last year ( Stock I believe ) or year before that Experienced rider had many bikes over the years
The word Fantastic was used ... But to be honest ..He says that of pretty much every bike he has bought
He had a 1000 cc when it was the fastest in the world.
The looks is not far off the 900 that was a fine bike back then.
The styling is more " Traditional " side view and perhaps foremost the exhaust.
It appears to have brakes in the front and with a development on the frame
It is no mystery to me that it is sold out.

Oooh! That’s exciting, what are your plans for it? I always thought they were a great little bike. Used to be they were the inexpensive entry into classic Triumphs , but not anymore!

I’ve made no secret of my love for early BMW’s. They were just so well made and a joy to work on, I love the mechanical simplicity of them and their solid ride quality. When I used to go to vintage bike shows, I would see all these perfectly restored British bikes there on static display, but out in the parking lot would be a bunch of old Beemers that guys were still riding daily. There are several for sale right now on Bring a Trailer, here is just a partial sampling of bikes on there now.

Here is a lovely little 250cc survivor. I have always loved the spare mechanical look of the early BMW’s and these little 250’s always bring big money. There’s a video , you can hear this bike idling so nice.
